The editor and author of this web site has been in the auto body and mechanic business for 35 years and has a passion for old cars and new technology for alternative fuels to power our vehicles in a clean safe manner.
Although the technology has been around since the turn of the 19Th century the auto industry has concentrated on gas powered vehicles without giving much consideration to the rising fuel cost that have caught everyone off guard.
Ethanol was a hopeful alternative but it has reduced our crops for food and has not really reduced the cost of gas. The reason is that the farmer must also use the same fuels to power their equipment to harvest the crop and then passing it on. to the consumer. Ethanol has been proven very effective in drag racing and other motor sports and has proved that we can create other sources of fuel.
Hydrogen is clean. It uses electoral analyses by creating an electrical current in water that produces and gives off hydrogen. The battery we use in our cars does much of the same thing. However it uses sulfuric acid with electrical plates and it produces small amounts of hydrogen gas which is vented.
Hydrogen and electric powered automobiles are the alternative fuels of the future. As people begin using them more the changes to better and more efficient production will evolve. The devices offered in the powering of our cars today is designed around much the same thing as the battery which when charged with an electrical current will give off larger amounts of hydrogen gas which is sent into the intake.
Sincerely
Lanny Camden
